Apple recently introduced their futuristic-type Internet-enabled smartphone, called iPhone, combining the features of mobile phone, camera phone and multimedia player.
The phone facility of iPhone is innovative in that the expected number of buttons just doesn’t exist, a “home” button being the exception. You can synchronize the phone with your computer to transfer contact and address book data. You have visual voice mail that allows you to organize your voice mail just like checking your inbox.
The Internet communicator facility offers a full Internet experience. An inbuilt html facility enables you to view emails visually. Images are viewable also.
The iPod video facility can be synchronized with your computer, allowing the transfer of music, videos, etc. The iPod also plays movies on its wide screen.
Perhaps the most appealing feature of iPhone is the 3.5-inch multi-function screen. No keyboard, mouse or stylus is required as items on the screen can be manipulated by finger touch. Screen viewing can be operated in either landscape or portrait mode.
Apple advises the following iPhone battery time for each usage:
• Up to 8 hours talking time
• Up to 7 hours video playback
• Up to 6 hours Internet use
• Up to 24 hours audio playback
